Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal himself became one of the listeners in Parliament as he unveiled the budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023 extensively in an –audio-visual format for the first time on Thursday.
Though former finance minister late AMA Muhith first introduced the audio-visual presentation of the budget in a limited-scale, Kamal took advantage of digital advancement with the permission of Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury who was presiding over the House.
The finance minister, wearing black Mujib coat, spoke for a few minutes at the beginning and at ending during the nearly two-hour audio-visual budget presentation.
Speaker Chaudhury said as per finance minister’s desire, the rest of his budget speech and related documents will be considered as read and tabled.
Authority has set a target to train more than sixty thousand young people by 2025 and one lakh by 2030 to fulfill the demand of IT sector.
People from all walks of life now believe that it is possible to get all kinds of services at their door steps. Gaining this trust is the biggest achievement of the government in the journey toward establishing a digital Bangladesh, Kamal said in his budget presentation.
