Buddhists exchange views with AL leaders

Organizing Secretary of ruling Awami League Barrister Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel said there is no cause to be feared for the internal crisis of Myanmar and Buddhist people here will release Fanus to celebrate the Proborana Purnima in Chittagong.
Addressing the view exchange meeting with the leaders of Buddhist community in Chittagong, Barrister Nowfel said Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony.
“Our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured the security of people of all religions.” He said Buddhist people will release Fanus to celebrate the Proborana Purnima in Chittagong like every year. Myanmar is suffering from their internal crisis. But, our people are saving the lives of Rohingya Muslims as well as our Buddhist people.”
Among others, Awami League leaders Mithun Barua, Babita Barua, Pronob Raj Barua, Kajol Priyo Barua, Engineer Polash Barua, Advocate Dirgotom Barua, Rajesh Barua, Shafu Barua, Bojoy Barua, Professor Jogot Jyoti Barua, Reba Barua, Proshanto Kumar Barua, Sujit Kumar Barua, Dola Barua, mintu Barua, supayon Barua, Rupam Barua addressed the view exchange meeting held at the residence of A B M Mohiuddin Chowdhury at Chashma Hill in the port city on Friday.evening .
293 motor cycles seized during raid: Chittagong district police recovered a total of 293 stolen and non registered motor cycles in a two hour- long storm raid in Chittagong district area on Wednesday. Police filed 214 cases in this connection.
Sources said, police conducted a storm raid to nab the motor cycle thieves by setting up 54 check posts in Chittagong. The two hour- long raid from 10 am to 12 pm was led by Additional SP’s Rezaul Masud and A K M Emran Bhuiyan. The police team seized a total of 293 stolen and non registered motor cycles during the raid.
 Rezaul Masud said under the supervision of SP Nur -e- Alam Mina, raids were conducted setting up check posts on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway and Dhaka-Chittagonghighway.The Chittagong
