Buddhist Tourism Confce in city on Oct 27,28

A 2-day international Buddhist Tourism conference will be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city on October 27 and 28.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon made the announcement at a press briefing at the ministry on Sunday morning.
The minister said the aim of this conference is to showcase the Buddhist heritages of the country to the foreign tourists. Representatives from 13 countries will take part in the conference, he said.
Menon also said the ministry has taken various initiatives for flourishing the tourism sector and make it familiar to the world. Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Khurshid Alam Chowdhury and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) Chairman Doctor Aporup Roy Chowdhury were present at the briefing.
