An Agreement was signed between Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and Babylon Group on Tuesday at the University Campus, Mirpur in the capital regarding academic cooperation, skill development and career opportunities.
Prof Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor, BUBT and Dr Md. Hasan, Executive Director, Babylon Group signed the paper on behalf of their respective parties. Prof Dr Syed Masud Husain, Dean, Faculty of Business, Prof Dr Mohammad Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Chairman, Dept of Textile and Dean, Faculty of Science; Dr Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Registrar, AHM Azmal Hossain, Joint Registrar, Mohammad Masudur Rahman, Director, Career Guidance, Jisan Al Jubair, Asst Registrar (Public Relations), BUBT were present as part of BUBT. Md. Atikul Islam Apu, Manager (HR), Babylon Group was also present in the signing ceremony.
The objective of the initiative was taking note of the commitment of BUBT and Babylon Group for accelerating academic cooperation, skill development and career opportunities through developing human resources in Bangladesh by imparting professional skills in a variety of fields, including internship placement, job placement and organizing different skills development initiatives i.e. workshop, seminar etc. Babylon has strong footing in both knit and woven products.
