The inauguration ceremony of the BUBT Alumni Association was held at the Hall Room of BUBT at Rupnagar Campus in the capital on Friday. AHM Azmal Hossain, the Convener of BUBT Alumni Association (student of 1st Intake, EMBA program), the Joint Registrar of BUBT welcomed the dignified guests and the alumni to the ceremony.
The Chief Guest of the meeting was AFM Sarwar Kamal, Chairman of BUBT Trust expressed his great satisfaction that the alumni BUBT are now well established in significant positions in the job world home and abroad.
He promised that BUBT authority would take every possible initiative so that the alumni will feel proud to visit their university.
The Chair of the ceremony Prof Md. Abu Saleh, Vice Chancellor of BUBT declared the founding Executive Committee of BUBT Alumni Association and wished its glorious progress.
Among the other dignitaries present in the ceremony were Prof Md. Enayet Hossain Miah, Treasurer, BUBT; Professor Mian Lutfar Rahman,Honourable Proctor, BUBT; Prof Dr M Badaruddin, Dean, Faculty of Law; Prof Syed Anwarul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Prof Dr Md. Rubaiyat Chowdhury, Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences; Dr Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Registrar, BUBT; Prof AB Md. Badruddoza Mia, Controller of Examinations; Chairmen and Faculty members of different departments.
Above five hundred alumni’s presence spread warmth in the hall room as they were sharing emotion and nostalgia. AHM Azmal Hossain, the President, Ashraful Islam Chowdhury (Shain), the General Secretary and Md. Musfiul Alom Siddiki was elected as the Treasurer of the BUBT Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association Executive Committee consists of total 51 members. Members from different print and electronic media were present in the occasion.
The meeting was anchored by Abdullah Al Azad, Assistant Professor of English and Assistant Proctor, BUBT.
