Premier show of Bangladesh Television (BTV) produced short film titled Aamar Babar Naam was held on September 19 on the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Presided over by BTV Director General Haroon-or-Rashid, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Dr Ahmad Kaikaus was present as the chief guest in the programme, while Information Secretary Kamrun Nahar was present as special guest on the occasion.
Hosted by Sama Mehjabin Rinty, BTV General Manager Nasir Mahmud gave welcome speech.
Story, script and dialogue of the short film were written by BTV DG Haroon-or-Rashid himself.
Fazle Azim Jewel gave direction of the short film. Abul Hayat, Dilara Zaman, Somu Chowdhury, Nairuz Sifat, Emon, Nirob, Joyraz, Lubna Naznin, among others, acted in different roles in the short film.
In the programme, Dilara Zaman said, “It is a great achievement for me in my acting career to act in Aamar Babar Naam. To present in this premiere show, I want to survive many years now.”
Actress of the film Nairuz Sifat shared her feelings by this way, “In my short time acting career, to work in this short film was really a great achievement for me.”
