Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is set to host the second public hearing today to know the experiences and complaints on quality of services directly from the clients of telecom operators.
The hearing would begin at 11am at Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh auditorium, BTRC Senior Assistant Director Md Zakir Hossain Khan said on Tuesday.
He said people of different strata of society registered themselves to take part in the hearing, as BTRC had kept the registration process open till June 3.
Officials said most of the customers submitted questions and expressed dissatisfaction over call drop, data price and the quality of overall services. BTRC officials would try to answer questions on the basis of importance, relevance and customer interest.
BTRC Chairman, commissioners, senior officials and representatives of mobile phone operators will be present at the hearing. Apart from them, BTRC has also invited officials of different government, semi-government and autonomous organizations, professionals and others to attend the hearing.
Recently, the commission at a meeting decided to hold the hearing following upward trend of complains from the customers.
