BTRC cancels license of 33 companies

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has cancelled licenses of 33 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for not renewing their respective licenses in time.
BTRC also asked the ISPs to pay their dues within one month. If any company fails to do it, BTRC will take legal action against them.
 MA Taleb, Director of Legal and Licensing Department of the BTRC, on Thursday issued a circular in this regard. “If the ISPs don’t pay the pending amount within the stipulated time, the regulatory body will take legal action as per Telecommunication Act 2001,” said the notice.
The companies are Taliba ICT Ltd, AGI Communication Ltd, Dhaka Telephone Company Ltd, BJ Trading, Intek Online, Media and Multimedia, Prashikha Computer System, Abosco Ltd, Telebarta, Zeotel, Dukh Alokchitro Granthagar, Sonargaon Online Service, Global Network, United Communications and Services, BUCT Communication, Eye-Net, Asia Net, Network Solution, Athlink IT, Karnaphuli Online, Mimtel, Oishi Network, Shadhin Media, Padma Communication, Srimangal Online, Mynet, MLB Net, Nahiyan Technology, Sea Beach Online, K Hossain Cable, Moni Enterprise, Jessore City Cable and A One Online.
