Like the world, the athletes of Bangladesh have been also hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic as the lethal virus made many of them jobless. In this situation, the Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF) has stood beside the needy players who are in financial hardship over the pandemic, said a BTF press release on Tuesday. The BTF donated Taka 5,000 to each of 40 tennis players through a ceremony held at Ramna National Tennis Court Complex in the city on Tuesday. National Sports Council secretary and BTF general secretary Mohammad Masud Karim handed over the money to each player by obeying the health codes. The BTF members have raised the fund under the overall supervision of State Minister for Foreign Affairs and BTF president Md Shahriar Alam.
