The 8th syndicate meeting of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University (BSMRMU) was held at its temporary campus in the city on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by its Vice-Chancellor Rear Admiral A S M Abdul Baten.
Various development activities of the university were discussed in the meeting. It may be mentioned that approval of course curriculum committee of Maritime Honours and Masters degree, opening four new faculties and signing of MoU with Western Sydney University of Australia and other institutions of home and abroad were also discussed in the meeting.
Members of syndicate meeting expressed their satisfaction over the progress of all activities of the university and expressed their hope that the university would really become the ‘center of excellence’ in maritime education.
