Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh (BSMRMU) held its 3rd Annual Senate Meeting at the conference room of its temporary campus located at Pallabi in the capital recently. Vice-Chancellor of the University Rear Admiral ASM Abdul Baten chaired the meeting and was attended by members of the senate.
Various important matters of the university were discussed and decisions were taken on several important matters of concern. The revised budget for the fiscal year 2016-2017 and annual budget for the fiscal year 2017-2018 of the university were presented and approved by the senate members.
Also, the 3rd annual report (July 2016- June 2017) was presented in the meeting. The senate members expressed their deep satisfaction at the progress of the university within such a short time.
BSMRMU Vice-Chancellor expressed his thought that, The University is determined to develop necessary maritime human resources for the nation in order to explore and collect maritime resources and also hoped that, the university will contribute to the progress of the “Blue Economy” of the nation by innovation of modern technologies.
