The Border Security Force of India picked up two Bangladeshis from Habiganj border on early Tuesday on charge of their bid to enter into India.
Locals said a petrol team of the BSF detained Idan Mia, 30, son of Abu Mia of Rajnagar village at Chowmuhani union under Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj, and Rubel Mia, 28, son of Dhanu Mia of the same village at about 1:00am when they were trying to trespass on India near Barajala camp of Border Guard Bangladesh.
When contacted, BGB 55 Battalion commandant Lt Col Zahidur Rashid confirmed about detention of the two Bangladeshi youths and said the BSF assured the BGB to send the detainees back to the country after getting directive from the higher authorities.
