Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up three fishermen from Berpara in Paba upazila on Thursday night.
The victims were identified as Ali Hossain, 18, and Shaheen Alam, 15, both sons of Pialam, and Abdul Momin, 18, son of Shahjahan of Berpara area. Sources said, BSF members from Madanhati camp caught the trio while they were going to the bordering area of the Padma River for fishing at about 8:00 pm. Major Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, officer of 37 battalion of Border Guard Bangladesh, confirmed the incident. Giving much importance to the matter, they tried to contact BSF several times, he added.
