The body of a Bangladesh national, who was allegedly killed by people of Indian Khasia community at Guabari border point in Jaintapur upazila on Friday, was handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday night.
Commander of SP Tila post of BSF M Ali handed over the the body to BGB battalion-5 second-in-command of Major Munsi Abdur Rahman BGB members at Guabari border in Jaintapur upazila around 7:30pm.
On Friday, Bangladeshi national Kudrat, a day labourer and son of Asad Ali of Guabari village, was shot to death by people of Khasia community in India at Guabari border point in Jaintapur upazila on Friday.
Local people said people of the Khasia community opened fire on Kudrat as he was on the borderline area near pillar no. 1293 around 11.00 am for collecting logs, leaving him dead on the spot. Later, members of BSF recovered the body.
