Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over 19 Bangladeshi nationals, including three children and four women, to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) through Benapole Check post early Friday.
Camp commander of BGB’s Benapole international check post (ICP) Nayek Subedar Nazrul Islam said members of BSF arrested them in Joyentopur border area on Thursday night for trespassing the Indian territory.
BSF handed them over to BGB around 4:30 am on Friday.
The returnees include 3 children, 4 women and 12 men, hailing from different areas of Narail and Bagerhat districts. Later, BGB handed them over to Benapole Police Station. A case was filed in this connection.
