The Border Security Force of India on Thursday detained four Bangladeshi nationals in South Dinajpur, a district of the neighbouring Indian state of West Bengal, for entering the country illegally.
The detainees have been identified as Md Rubel Mia, 25, Jalal Uddin, 22, both sons of Aizul Haque; Mahbub Alam, 16, son of Jainul Haque; and Masum Mia, 24, son of Shamsul Haque, all hailing from Thakurgaon’s Haripur Upazila.
Md Raz Masud, acting commander of 50 BGB Battalion, said the four had gone to India illegally.They were caught by BSF when they were returning home around 2pm on Thursday.
