Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Sunday inaugurated One-Stop Service of the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation to ensure quick delivery of necessary government services to entrepreneurs.
This service will attract new domestic and foreign investments in the industrial hubs of the corporation and will accelerate eco-friendly industrialisation across the country, the minister said.
Entrepreneurs now can get their trade licenses, land registration, naming, environmental clearance, and many other documents through the service from the corporation, he said while launching the service at a function at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka with the corporation’s chairman Md Mostaque Hassan in the chair.
The businesspeople concerned can apply online and get these services from Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority, Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority, and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, added the minister.
State minister for industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, public administration ministry senior secretary KM Ali Azam, industries secretary Zakia Sultana, Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Md Jashim Uddin, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Samity President Mirza Nurul Gani Shovon, among others, were also present in the event.
