Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC), the only state owned ocean going vessels management authority has earned net profit of Tk.55.23 cr in 2018-19 fiscal which was Tk.12.55 crores in previous fiscal(2017-18).
Following the joining of six new vessels, the organisation’s income has enhanced. This was apprised at the 302nd board meeting of BSC at BSC Bhaban in the port city yesterday.
State Minister for Shipping and chairman of the Board of Directors of BSC Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury presided over the board meeting.
The board meeting approved the audit report for 2018-19 and appointment of Audit firm for current year.
The meeting also discussed the incoming AGM and finalisation of dividend among shareholders and the profit bonusfor the officials and workers of the corporation. The meeting unanimously finalised November 24 next for holding AGM .
