Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Day was celebrated through various programmes at BRUR campus marking the 9th founding anniversary of the university yesterday.
The day-long programme included hoisting of national and university flags, placing floral wreath at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Begum Rokeya, colourful procession, discussion and cultural function. The BRUR Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah inaugurated the programmes of the day on the BRUR campus through hoisting the national flags.
Sarifa Salwa Dina, Professor of Bengali Department of the university hoisted BRUR flag.
Later, a colourful rally led by the VC was brought out at BRUR campus. Teachers, syndicate members, officials, employees and students of the university took part in the rally.
