Progotishil Chhatra Jote of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) unit besieged Vice-Chancellor office recently demanding withdrawal of increased admission fees. They also brought out a procession on the campus.
Ashaduzzaman, Monwar Hossain, Utpol Kumar Mohonta, Mehedi Hasan among others spoke on the occasion.
The speakers said if the university authority failed to withdraw the enhanced fee within March 18, they will wage tougher movement.
Progotishil Chhatra Jote called two-day strike demanding to withdraw the enhanced fee last week. Mohammad Ali, Information Officer of the university, said no extra amount has been taken from the students. In this regard the student’s movement is illegal, he added.
