The Vice- Chancellor (VC) of Begum Rokeya University (BRU) Prof Dr AKM Nurun Nabi said the university would be turned into an international standard institution for world class education.
For achieving this, he sought cooperation of all concerned, including teachers, students, officials, employees, and asked them for discharging their responsibilities with utmost sincerity and dedication.
The VC said this on Monday while addressing a post-rally discussion arranged at the Independent Memorial premises on the campus in observance of the seventh founding
anniversary of the university as the chief guest.
Earlier, the VC formally inaugurated celebration by releasing colourful balloons at 9:30 am followed by releasing of seven pigeons by the invited guests.
Later, at 10 am, the VC led a huge colourful rally that paraded through the campus and its adjoining streets with participation of the teachers, students, officials and employees.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Convenor of the Founding Anniversary Celebration Committee Professor Dr Nazmul Alam presided over the discussion addressed among others by Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies professor Dr Matiur Rahman and provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujin Hall Dr Abu Saleh Mohammad Wadudur Rahman.
