Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur through various programs celebrated Era Yuga Purti and International Accounting Day on Wednesday.
In the morning, a colorful joyous procession was brought out from the campus. Begum Rokeya University Vice-Chancellor Prof.Md. Hasibur Rashid, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sarifa Salwa Dina, Accounting and Information Systems were present in the rally.
The head of the department Amir Sharif along with teachers, students and staff took part in the procession.
The procession started from Russell Square and went around different roads of the campus.
Earlier, cakes were cut in an informal ceremony at Sheikh Russell Square on campus to commemorate the day.
