Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has launched AC bus service on the Bandarban-Chittagong Road. The new BRTC service was launched from the Bandarban traffic diversion a on Sunday last .
BRTC authorities said that three BRTC buses will operate daily from Bandarban and Chattogram on both sides to provide public transport services to the people. Later, more buses will be launched depending on the needs of the locals.
The newly added AC buses have two LED monitors to keep passengers entertained. BRTC authorities say anyone can travel from Bandarban to Chittagong easily for Tk 150per seat. BRTC Bandarban District Representative Sadek Hossain Chowdhury said BRTC service has been relaunched in Bandarban in the interest of the passengers.
The quality of passenger service for Bandarban transport is very low. In view of the demand for improved passenger services of the locals, the BRTC service is running in different districts under the initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. As part of this, the BRTC service has been launched in Bandarban.
