Cox’s Bazar Correspondent :
Though private-run buses are plying amid the countrywide non-stop blockade and hartal, buses run by Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTC) have remained off from road violating a government order to ply vehicles regularly. As a result, a mixed reaction was created among transport owners and workers.
BRTC-run buses used to ply through Cox’s Bazar-Chittagong-Feni-Comilla-Dhaka route. While visiting Cox’s Bazar bus terminal on Tuesday noon, the BRTC counter was found locked. Even no buses of BRTC were found there. A shopper beside the BRTC counter Kamal Uddin said, “Since the start of the blockade, the staffs of the BRTC counter closed their counter and from then they were not seen there.”
