BRTA to issue driving license from Oct 11

After solving all complications the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) is going to distribute smart driving license from October 11.
BRTA’s Assistant Director (Dhaka Metri-1 circle) Shamsul Kabir said the printing of smart driving license will start from 10 October.
He said they were hopeful about distribution of smart driving license from October 11.
The smart driving license distribution process has been taken by joint initiative of BRTA and Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF) and they will distribute about 12.45 lakh licenses.
Mahbub-e-Rabbani, director of BRTA’s road safety department, said the initiative was taken by the Bangladesh Army controlled Machine Tools Factory (BMTF). The company will complete the work of 12.45 lakh driving licenses within six months of starting of printing.
According to the officials concerned, taking applicants fingerprint has started at Pallabi enrollment station in the capital.
BRTA Director (Engineering) Shitangshu Shekhar Biswas said BRTA had signed an agreement with BMTF on August 29. The process has been progressing since the agreement was signed.
