The limited range of service activities of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) is being launched from yesterday. This information has been given in a notification signed by BRTA Director (Engineer) Shitangshu Shekhar Biswas on Sunday. It said that online banking has been introduced by BRTA to collect motor vehicle taxes and fees during lockdown.
Considering the current situation, motor vehicle registration and various acknowledgment slips from various Metro and District Circle Offices of BRTA, such as renewal of route permit certificate, validity of temporary motor vehicle license, change of ownership application, change of ownership from July 26, considering only urgent requirements in strict compliance with hygiene rules. Extension of registration certificate etc. will continue.
It also said that other BRTA service activities such as disposal of all pending work, renewal of motor vehicle fitness, acceptance of valid application for renewal of driving license, acceptance of valid application for renewal of route permit, issue of learner driving license, examination of driving committee test, Biometric acceptance of license applicants, biometric adoption of motor vehicle owners for digital registration certificates, addition of retro-reflective number plates and tags to motor vehicles will be introduced in phases in the light of government guidelines.
