A central control room was set up in city by Road Transport and Highway Division (RTHD) in order to ensure smooth traffic for holidaymakers during the journey of Eid-ul-Azha on Thursday.
In this issue, officials including Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), Roads and Highways Department (RHD) and Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will work together from the room.
Even the control room will remain open for 24
hours from August 6 to 17 at BRTA headquarters according to a circular of the division.
Nur Mohammad Mazumder, Joint Secretary of the division, will work as main person while Humayun Kabir Khandker, additional secretary of the same division, will supervise the activities of the control room.
The control room can be contacted on 55040737 and 01550 051606.
It is noted that thousands of people will leave Dhaka within few days to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on August 12.
