Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has opened a central control room to ensure smooth journey ahead of and after Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Road Transport and Highways Division Joint Secretary Nur Mohammad Majumder launched on Sunday said an office order.
It will operate round the clock from May 30, the day Eid rush is expected to start, will continue until June 9.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival throughout the world, is expected to be held in the first week of June, subjected to the sighting of the moon.
