Brothers Union Club thrashed Team BJMC by 4-1 goals in the 13th round match of the JB Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Tuesday.
However, Brothers Union remained the 7th slot in the league table collecting 17 points from 13 matches despite the victory while Team BJMC are also in the 8th place in the 12-team league with their previous credit of 14 points from 13 encounters..
In the day’s match, Nkowcha Kingsley struck two goals while Shofiqul Islam Shofi and Augustin Walson netted one goal each for the winners. Eleta Kingsley scored the lone goal for Team BJMC.
Shofi put Brothers Union ahead in the very 3rd minute of the match by his solo effort with a left footed brilliant shot inside from the box after receiving a ball from the midfield (1-0).
Haitian midfielder Augustin Walson doubled the Brothers margin in the 62nd minute by a right footed eye-catching free kick outside from the box (2-0).
Nigerian forward Eleta Kingsley reduced the margin for Team BJMC in the 67th minute by a right footed angular shot from the danger zone, utilising a free kick of Samson Iliasu (2-1).
Nigerian forward Nkowcha Kingsley scored the 3rd goal for Brothers Union in the 88th minute by a right footer placing shot from the danger zone, capitalising on a back pass of Augustin Walson (3-1).
Nkowcha Kingsley sealed the fate of the match in the added time of the match scoring his second goal by a cool right footer (4-1).
Earlier in the 28th minute, Brothers Union spoiled a good chance to score but Mannaf Rabby failed to utilise Nkowcha Kingsley’s cross from left flank as his right footed grounder was brilliantly saved by BJMC custodian Arifuzzaman Himel
