Brothers Union Club forced Dhaka Mohammedan SC to 1-1 draw in the only match of Nitol-Tata Bangladesh Premier Football League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Tuesday.
After the match, the traditional black and white Mohammedan SC secured 11 points while the “all-ornage” Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union bagged nine points, both playing eight matches.
In the day’s match, national striker Zahid Hasan Emily scored for Mohammedan SC in the first half while Ghanaian defender Isshah Yousuf leveled the margin for Brothers Union in the second half.
Striker Zahid Hasan Emily put Mohammedan SC ahead in the 43rd minute by sending the ball to the net over the advancing Brothers custodian Mohammad Sujon, off a Towhidul Alam Sabuj pass (1-0).
Ghanaian defender Isshah Yousuf scored the equaliser for Brothers Union in the 75th minute from a penalty (1-1). Brothers Union got the spot kick when their Nigerian forward Kester Akon was brought down by Mohammedan defender Tapu Barman.
