Brothers Union Club made a good start in the KFC Independence Day Football Tournament beating Uttar Baridhara Club by 2-0 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday.
Mesbahuddin put the Gopibagh outfit Brothers Union ahead in the 34th minute by a good shot which kissed the Baridhara net deflecting the chest of defender Ariful Islam (1-0).
Uttar Baridhara Club was reduced to 10-men, when their defender Faisal Ahmed Shitul handled a goal-bound ball and the match referee instantly flashed him 2nd yellow cards means red card in the 4th minute of the 2nd half.
Nigerian striker Nkowcha Kingsley confirmed the Brothers victory by adding one more goal in the 84th minute by a good shot from top of the box (2-0).
