Alauddin Babu hits hat-trick: Brothers Union beat Legends of Rupganj

Brothers Union (BU) beat Legend of Rupganj by eight wickets in their match of the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Thursday.
Batting first Legends of Rupganj scored 111 runs in 19.1 overs.
In reply, Brothers Union sailed home making 112 runs for the loss of two wickets when they had 27 balls to spare.
Openers Mizanur and Zunaed Siddique of Brothers Union made a solid foundation contributing 53 runs in the opening stand before Zunaed was dismissed for 21.
Mizanur notched up a sparkle 74. His 52-ball innings was studded with three sixes and eight fours.
Zunaed made 21 from 19 balls.
When Mizaur was out Brothers Union were just five runs away from their winning target.
Zahiduzzaman remained unbeaten with 11 runs, while Myshukur Rahman remained unbeaten with six runs.
Sunzamul Haque and Sohag Gazi of Legends of Rupganj took one wicket apiece.
Earlier, Alauddin Babu of Brothers Union hit a hat-trick. Babu dismissed Mukter Ali in the 5th ball of the 17th over and removed Sohag Gazi in the last ball of the 17th over. Babu fulfilled his hat-trick picking up the wicket of Nabil Samad in the first ball of the 19th over. Babu dismissed Ajmir Ahmed in the first over.
Babu finished his superb spell as 3.1-0-21-4.
Naeem Islam of Legends of Rupganj played a captain’s knock of 38. He used 28 deliveries. Sabbir Rahman made 23 from 18 balls. Sujan Hawladar and Saqlain Sajib of Brothers Union bagged two wickets each.
