Brothers Union Ltd reached the final of the Airtel Under-18 Football Tournament eliminating Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra by 4-3 in the sudden death in the first semifinal at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.
The result was decided in the penalty shootout as it remained goalless in the stipulated time.
Brothers Union reached the semifinal of the tournament as the group B runnerup securing six points from four matches with one win and three draws while Sheikh Russel KC as the group A champion securing five points from three matches with a win and two draws.
In the 2nd semifinal to be held today (September 29), group B champion Mohammedan Sporting Club Ltd will take on group A runnerup Team BJMC at the same venue.
