Brothers beat Old DOHS in DPDCL

An all round performance came from Brothers Union Club to record their fifth win in the Walton Refrigerator Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) beating all losers Old DOHS Sporting Club by 93 runs in their 11th round match held on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Put to bat first by Old DOHS SC Brothers Union Club managed to score a small total of 195 for all in 49.4 overs in the face of tight bowling attacks by the DOHS bowlers, especially Raihan Arafat, who grabbed four wickets for 38 runs.
Chasing a small target of 196 runs, set by Brothers Union Club, Old DOHS Sporting Club found the chase very stiff and dismissed at a paltry total of 103 in 36.3 overs.
Shahajada Hossan of Brothers Union was named the player of the match for his all-round performance in the match.
With the day’s win, the Gopibagh ‘outfit’ improved their tally with 10 points from 11 matches while Old DOHS yet to not open their account playing the same number of outings.
