A local Jubo League leader was stabbed to death and three others injured when his elder brother attacked him over land dispute in Assasuni upazila of the district on Monday.
The incident took place at Protapnagar village of the upazila around 12 pm on Monday noon.
Local sources said, Ahmad Ali Sardar in a meeting was dividing land and other assets among his five daughters and two sons. Suddenly the meeting turned into a heated argument and the incident ensued.
On information, police were dispatched to the spot, Abdul Aziz, Inspector of Assasuni Police Station said.
Biplob Kumar Nath, Officer in-Charge (OC)of Assasuni Police confirmed the news to the media.
