Conscious Citizens Committee, patronised by Transparency International Bangladesh, found that Jessore regional passport office is surrounded by a number of brokers for which passport seekers are not getting due facilities from the office.
‘The employees of the office do not maintain office time’, it further observed,’ there is no toilet for women and supply of drinking water at the office premises,’ said a press release issued by Transparency International Bangladesh, Jessore.
The CCC found the irregularities at the regional passport office as the official met with the employees of the office on Monday.
The views exchange meeting was presided over by Tariq Salman, deputy director, Jessore regional passport office.
It was addressed among others by Sukumar Das, president, CCC, Jessore, Suraiya Sharif, vice president, members Pavel Chowdhury and Proshanto Debnath and Mofizur Rahman, assistant, treasurer of the passport office.
Mamunur Rashid, coordinator, CCC, presented key note paper at the meeting.
