Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said if there is a media workers law and broadcasting law, everything starting from the salary structure of media workers will be protected. He was addressing as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the training on Annual Performance Agreement 2020-21 organized by Bangladesh Betar at Circuit House yesterday morning.
The information minister said the cabinet, law ministry, parliament and parliamentary committees are involved in passing the law. Since it is not possible to do this under the sole responsibility of the Ministry of Information, it is not possible to fix a specific time for it.
But I’m trying to do it all on a sudden.Responding to a question from journalists , the information minister said BNP leaders forget when they speak – what they did when they were in power. When Fakhrul Sahib was in power, he used to commit various misdeeds .
Dr. Hasan Mahmud further said that the progress made under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the field of women’s empowerment is a great example to the world. What is happening today is not something that has happened before.
People did not know about social media as it was not widespread. This is a good aspect of social media. The government has tried and punished rape cases in the past.
Determined to give exemplary punishment by judging what is still happening. Divisional Commissioner ABM Azad was the special guest on the occasion presided over by Director General of Bangladesh Betar Hosne Ara Talukder.
