UNB, Dhaka :
Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Tuesday said the government will pass a ‘Broadcasting Act’ soon paying no attention to any kind of outcry.
“We have passed the National Broadcasting Policy 2014. We will surely pass the Broadcasting Act also. If there is broadcasting
act in other countries, why not in Bangladesh? … I know, some people will create chaos but we’ll pass it,” he said.
The Minister said, these while addressing a seminar on ‘Reporting Ethically on and for Children’ for print media arranged by Management and Resources Development Initiative (MRDI) in collaboration with UNICEF in the capital’s Brac Centre Inn.
Unwrapping the comprehensive guideline on ‘Reporting ethically on and for Children’ for print media, he called on the journalists to use their judicial intellect while writing about women and children.
