Prof Muhammad Farmer of British Institute of Technology and E-commerce called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Monday at the latter’s office of the university.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs between University of Dhaka and British Institute of Technology and E-commerce.
Prof. Farmer made a proposal to DU VC to setup an International Research Centre to be funded by British Institute of Technology and E-commerce at Dhaka University.
DU VC Prof Arefin Siddique sought help and cooperation from British Institute of Technology and E-commerce for newly established departments of Dhaka University specially Department of Nuclear Engineering, Department of Oceanography and Department of Television and Film Studies.
Vice-Chancellor thanked the guest for his visit to and keen interest in undertaking joint academic and research activities with Dhaka University.
