Shahira Yusuf, born in London, this model is new to the fashion show`s runway, as well as the first British fashion catwalk model to wear the hijab. She is only 20 years old. But seeing her, it does not seem that she will be the next star of the fashion world.
Shahira said I was first spotted by a modeling scout when I was 17. But I wasn`t ready then and When you are young, you are naive and live in this unrealistic sphere, you`ve got to be mature otherwise an industry like this can swallow you up.
Soft-spoken Shahira Yusuf also said that while coming to the modeling profession, she herself tied some boundaries. She has clear boundaries about what she will and won`t do. All her test shots show her fully clothed.
Meanwhile, Shahira was born in London, but his parents came from Somalia.
Shahira also said about wearing the hijab I`m conscious of the fact that I`m visibly Muslim but it`s not a huge deal.
