The rail communication on Chittagong-Dohazar line remain suspended following the heavy downpour in Chttagong during last twenty four hours . The heavy downpour collapsed bridge over Boalkhali Khal near Patiya borderline as such the train service in this track remain suspended.
Railway East Zone sources said a passenger train leaving Dohazari Station remain stranded near Patiya Dalghat Station following the repair and renovation work of the bridge .
Gomdandi station master Md. Jafar confirmed the collapse of the bridge and the service yet to be resumed till writing of this report.
Mentionable that in this rail service, a pair of furnace oil wagon runs every day to carry the furnace oil for Dohazari Peaking Power Plant .
