At least 19 people were injured as a bridge collapsed in Amtala area under Manikchhari Upazila of the district on Friday noon.
Sources said that a stone-laden truck and a microbus were crossing the bridge around 12:00pm and then the bridge collapsed, leaving 19 people injured.
Confirming the matter Manikchhari Thana Officer-in-Charge Taufiq told banglanews, “Critically injured four people were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and others were sent to Manikchhari Upazila Health Complex.”
