A husband was stabbed allegedly by his wife on their wedding night at Lautoli village in Faridganj upazila Monday night.
Now the injured husband Delwar Hossain, 26, is undergoing treatment at Cumilla Medical College Hospital. The girl might have a love affair with another boy and that is way he stabbed her husband, locals said.
Delwar Hossain, son of late Harun-or-Rashid married Shyamoli Akhter, 20, daughter of Firoz Alam of Charmandari village in the upazila on Monday.
On wedding night around 2am, family members heard the screaming from the couple room and found Delwar injured with bloody condition.
Later he rushed to local hospital for primary
treatment, from where he was taken to Cumilla Medical College Hospital, they added.
On information, police visited the spot but no group complaint in this connection, said Md Harun-or-Rashid, officer-in-charge of Faridganj Police Station.
