North South University (NSU) organized a seminar titled “Breast Cancer Awareness Bangladesh Perspective” on Tuesday at its campus, Bashundhara in the city. In order to increase awareness of breast cancer, this seminar was organized on the financing of Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd and under the supervision of NSU Pharmaceutical Club (NSUPC). Prof Dr Zafor Md. Masud, Head of the Oncology, Bangladesh Medical College Hospital was present at the seminar as the keynote speaker. Dr GM Sayedur Rahman, Chairman of Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr Hasan Mahmood Reza, Former Chairman, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Sadia Shabnam, Faculty Advisor, NSUPC were also present during the program. Prof Dr Ismail Hossain, Pro Vice-Chancellor of NSU presided over the program. As the keynote speaker Prof Dr Zafor Md. Masud said to the students, according to data from the National Cancer Research Institute and Hospital (NICRH), among the cancer patients in Bangladesh.
