Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) Nilphamari Sadar Upazila has organized the distribution of sewing machines, certificates, tree saplings and loans in Nilphamari.
Deputy Director of Nilphamari Local Government Abdur Rahman was present as chief guest at the function presided over by sadar Upazila UNO, Elina Akter in front of Sadar Upazila (BRDB) Palli Bhaban on Monday noon. BRDB Deputy Director Abdul Hannan, Sadar Upazila Rural Development Officer Mushfiqur Rahman Sadar were present as special guests. Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahid Mahmud, Vice Chairman Deepak Chakraborty and others attended the ceremony.
On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence, sewing machines, certificates, tree saplings and low profit loans have been distributed among the beneficiaries of BRDB, SadarUpazila and the Northern Employment Guarantee Program (Udkanik) project.
At present, the government is distributing loans of Tk 4 lakh 8 thousand to 13 people through special projects, sewing machines to 13 people, tree saplings to 64 people and also distributing Tk 15,000 and certificates to each of them after 60 days of training. According to office sources, the capital under this project is Tk 58 lakh, of which Tk 48 lakh has been distributed which, is still in the field.
