‘Brazil’ emerged as the champions of the Walton 3rd Women’s Beach Football Tournament beating ‘France’ by a solitary goal in the final at the Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach on Tuesday.
‘Brazil’, the champions were awarded Taka thirty thousand, while ‘France’, the runners-up got Taka twenty thousand.
The participating teams were given Taka five thousand each.
After the final match, Senior Operative Director (Head of Games & Sports) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while Police Super of Cox’s BazarTourist Police Md Jillur Rahman was with him as the special guest. General Secretary of Cox’s Bazar District Sports Association Anup Barua Apu was present at the time.
A total of eight teams took part in the tournament. They were: ‘Brazil’, ‘France’, ‘Germany’, ‘Argentina’, ‘Spain’, ‘England’, ‘Japan’, ‘Portugal’.
