Magura and Brahmanbaria district football teams won their respective group B matches of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games women’s football event held on saturday at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In the day’s match, Magura dumped Faridpur district football team by 9-0 goals.
In the day’s match, Mabiya scored hat-trick with three goals in the 2nd, 25th and 48th minutes and Arpita scored a brace in the 45th and 65th minutes while Rima, Sandha, Jayanti Rani and Ratna netted one goal apiece in the 22nd, 24th, 80th and 83rd minutes respectively.
Earlier, in the day’s first match, Brahmanbaria blanked Panchagarh district football team by 2-0 goals with Arifa Akter and Jasmin scored one goal each for the winners’ in the 20th and 23rd minutes respectively.
