Gold marks to be the first association between Akshay Kumar and Excel Entertainment led by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The teaser of the film will be released on 5th February. Gold is inspired by true events and is about India’s first Olympic medal winning as a free nation in the year 1948 at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London. Staying true to the genre of the film, the newly announced film is to release on Independence Day, 2018.
