First convention of Bangladesh Progressive Writers’ Association (BPWA) is scheduled to be held on August 8 at Moitree Auditorium of Mukti Building in the city’s Purana Paltan area.
Eminent educationist Emeritus Professor Dr Anisuzzaman will inaugurate the convention.
It was announced at a press conference held at the central office of Udichi Shilpigosthi in the capital yesterday.
Presided over by President of BPWA Prof Bodiur Rahman, General Secretary of BPWA Dr Ratan Siddique, convener of the convention and also general secretary of Bangladesh Creative Books Publishers’ Agency Kamrul Hasan Shayok, member secretary of BPWA Md Jasimuddin, among others, were present at the press conference.
