The fifth edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will be held today (Saturday) at the city’s local hotel at 12 pm.
The players’ draft will telecast live worldwide through Maasranga TV, GTV, Rabithole Apps and You Tube.
Each franchise can buy at least five foreign players instead of four and 10 to 13 local players from the players draft programme. This time a franchise can include minimum three foreign players in a match.
A total of seven franchises will take part in this year’s BPL. The franchises are Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Khulna Comilla and Rangpur. The participating teams already announced the names of their icon players.
The names of the icon players are Shakib Al Hasan of Dhaka Dynamites, Mushfiqur Rahim of Rajshahi Kings, Mahmudullah of Khulna Titans, Soumya Sarkar of Chittagong Vikings, Tamim Iqbal of Comilla Victorians, Mashrafe Mortaza of Rangpur Riders and Sabbir Rahman of Sylhet Sixers.
